What is UPAL’s Privacy Policy?

It is UPAL’s responsibility to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of our clients’ personal information, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

When will I get a paper statement?

Participants in a 401(k) PSP may access their account statements online by logging into their personal/private account. These statements are available anytime and are updated monthly. StartRight sends a notification by email when the monthly statement has been prepared for your account.  A paper statement is mailed annually around the 20th of January. Please contact Lea Ann Nunley or Rhonda Wilson at (918) 747-5585 if you have further questions.

For IRA and Personal Investment accountholders, Charles Schwab sends a notification by email when the monthly statement has been prepared for your account. Additionally, on a quarterly basis, UPAL sends a performance report and supplemental information about economic and market conditions.

How do I get a loan from my retirement account?

ERISA 401(k) PSP

If your plan allows loans, you can request a loan in one of two ways.

You can call Client Plan Services at 1-800-876-9557 for assistance.
You can request a loan by logging into your personal account in Start Right Online login. Once you have logged into your account, click on the drop down arrow on the left navigational panel and select Account Management, then select Loans. In the middle of the page you will see Loan Type. The most common selection is General Purpose.
BE SURE TO KEEP YOUR CONFIRMATION NUMBER WHEN THE LOAN IS REQUESTED THROUGH YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT.

Loans from IRA accounts are not permitted.

401(k) Account

You can access your Start Right Online account via the link on our home page or by clicking here. If you need assistance to log on, please call Client Plan Services at 1-800-876-9557.

IRA or Personal Investment Account

You can access your account via the link on the UPAL homepage or by calling Schwab Alliance at 1 -800- 515-2157.

How do I obtain my account balance?

401(k) Account

To obtain the most accurate information, please call Client Plan Services at 1-800-876-9557.

IRA or Personal Investment Account

You may obtain your account balance by calling UPAL during business hours, logging on to your account, or by calling Schwab Alliance at 1-800-515-2157.

How do I get assistance with logging on to my account?

401(k) Account

Please call Client Plan Services at 1-800-876-9557 for all assistance with logging into your account.

IRA or Personal Investment Account

Please call Schwab Alliance at 1-800-515-2157 for all assistance with logging into your account.

 

How do I change my contribution elections?

401(k) Account

To change your contribution elections, print the Enrollment Form. Once you have completed the form to reflect the changes you desire, give a copy to your Office Manager, who will then fax it to UPAL at (918) 747-5596.

You may also change your contribution elections by logging on to your account and selecting “Manage my investments” from the menu.

IRA or Personal Investment Account

To change your account allocation please call UPAL at 918-747-5585 and ask for an Adviser Representative.

How do I change my beneficiary designations?

401(k) Account

To change your beneficiary designations, print the Beneficiary Designation Form. After you have completed the form to reflect the changes you desire, give a copy to your Office Manager, who will then fax it to UPAL at (918) 747-5596.

IRA or Personal Investment Account

To change your beneficiary designation please call UPAL at 918-747-5585 and ask for an Adviser Representative. You may also contact Schwab Alliance at 1-800-515-2157 for all assistance with changing the beneficiary designation for your account.

How do I change my investment allocations?

401(k) Account

To change your investment allocation, you may access the UPAL Investment Direction Worksheet  under the “Retirement/401(k)/Profit Sharing Plans” section on the UPAL website at upal.com. Submit the completed form to UPAL following the directions at the top of the form.

IRA or Personal Investment Account

To change your investment allocation please call UPAL at 918-747-5585 and ask for an Adviser Representative. You may also contact Schwab Alliance at 1-800-515-2157 for all assistance with changing the asset allocation for your account.
