Lea Ann Nunley

President & CEO
Registered Investment Adviser Representative

Lea Ann Nunley joined UPAL in 2000 and brings 34+ years of experience in the defined contribution and retirement planning industry. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Central University in 1989.

Throughout her career, Lea Ann has designed, implemented, and overseen qualified retirement plans tailored to the needs of UPAL’s membership, while ensuring ongoing compliance with evolving legislative and regulatory requirements. As plan assets and participant needs expanded, Lea Ann played a key role in developing and growing UPAL’s investment advisory and wealth management services, helping members transition from accumulation to retirement with confidence.

As a Registered Investment Adviser Representative, Lea Ann works closely with individuals and families to provide fiduciary investment guidance for IRAs, Roth IRAs, trusts, rollover accounts, and personal investment portfolios. Her advisory approach emphasizes long-term planning, risk management, tax-aware strategies, and alignment of investment decisions with each client’s financial goals and retirement timeline. She maintains ongoing client relationships through regular portfolio reviews, asset allocation guidance, and personalized financial strategy discussions.

Lea Ann continues to work directly with clients as they move into and through retirement, assisting with distribution planning, rollover decisions, and coordinated investment strategies designed to support income needs and preserve wealth. Her experience on both the retirement plan and individual advisory sides of the business allows her to deliver comprehensive, integrated financial guidance.

She is a member of the Tulsa Employee Benefits Group.

A native of Tulsa, Lea Ann enjoys spending time with her family at the lake and playing golf.

Julie Uriarte, CPA, PHR, QKA®, SHRM-CP®

Vice President, Retirement Plan Services

Julie Uriarte joined UPAL in July 2026. Before joining UPAL, she was the Vice President at the Trust Company of Oklahoma, where she led the compliance department for retirement plan solutions. She earned her Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Political Science and Spanish, with a Minor in French, from the University of Kansas.

Julie holds the designations of Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional® (SHRM-CP®), Qualified 401(k) Administrator® (QKA®) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Her expertise and responsibilities include plan design, testing for compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act  (ERISA), and tax reporting for employee benefit plans.

Born in Lima, Peru, Julie is bilingual in English and Spanish. She was raised in Tulsa and graduated from the School of Saint Mary, which her children now attend. She is also a board member of the School of Saint Mary and previously served as Home and School president.

In the past, she was a board intern at Happy Hands and was enrolled in Leadership Tulsa Class 70.

Lincoln Anderson, CFA®

Manager, Financial Services & Client Relations

Lincoln Anderson joined UPAL in 2025. He has 17+ years of experience in financial analysis, portfolio management, and client communications. Lincoln was awarded his Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and his Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.

Lincoln has extensive experience managing complex financial portfolios and creating comprehensive financial reports for retail and business clients. During his tenure at AmeriTrust Investment Advisors, he managed portfolios totaling $240 million and established robust compliance mechanisms to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. As a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and LPL Financial, he prepared detailed annual review packets and communicated complex financial concepts and investment strategies to a diverse client base.

Lincoln brings strong analytical skills in credit analysis, risk assessment, and financial modeling to UPAL’s membership. He works closely with clients to develop investment strategies aligned with their goals and will continue to provide comprehensive financial guidance as they plan for and move through retirement. Lincoln is a Chartered Financial Analyst® and former Secretary of the CFA Society of Oklahoma.

Lincoln moved to Tulsa in 2008.  He is an avid pickleball player and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Kelly Hanson

Accountant

Kelly joined UPAL in 2008.  She has several years of experience working in public accounting, tax compliance, software development and consulting.  Kelly graduated cum laude from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting.  She not only keeps the company books balanced but also prepares each retirement plan’s quarterly and final contribution calculations and assists physicians with Form 5500 electronic filing.

Kelly loves snow skiing when possible, but country western dancing is a favorite pastime.  She also enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and babysitting her grandchildren.

Joanna Morton

Retirement Program Analyst & IT Specialist

Joanna joined our staff in 2011. She came with a background of medical and dental front office work and a strong grounding in computer basics. She helps process employee and employer deferrals, generates invoices, makes sure our computers get the general maintenance they require, and works to keep our website current.

Joanna graduated magna cum laude from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in Stage Management. Having found the theatre schedule too difficult to maintain with four active children, she now amuses herself with local theatre projects and activities with the Society for Creative Anachronism.

Micah Cornell

Administrative Assistant

Micah joined UPAL in the spring of 2024. She came with a strong background in customer service and medical office administration. She assists the UPAL staff with administrative tasks, helps arrange meetings, and helps to maintain records.

Micah moved to Tulsa in 2020 to be closer to her family and enjoys large family gatherings. She’s an avid art enthusiast and loves both making art and supporting the local art scene. She occupies most of her time outside of work with home renovation projects and salsa dancing whenever she gets the chance!
